automat

automat is mike appelstein on guitars, bass, omnichord, casiotone, egg shaker, tambourine and miserable whine.  i was born in philadelphia, raised in new jersey, and have lived in manhattan, hoboken and seattle.  currently i live in st. louis, missouri with my wife, two daughters and cat.  all of these experiences informed the songs i wrote and recorded on four-track cassette over several years.

i really need to add more content.  too busy, i guess.

there are no recording or touring plans, but i've made the two cd-rs available for free download.  and, of course, you can visit me on myspace.
